How do I register for classes?


Click on the register button on any page. This will take you to the registration site. The classes are listed by class title. You can only register for 1 class per session. You should only register for a total of 4 classes for this conference. Each person attending the classes must register separately. This allows the committee to know how many people are scheduled per class. This will determine which room the class will be scheduled in. The registration page will require you to provide an email and cell phone contact number to enable the conference committee to communicate with you.




Do I need a Familysearch.org or Ancestry.com account before I come?


It would be great if you do, but not necessary. You are authorized free Ancestry.com and Familysearch.org accounts with your Latter-day Saints church membership. See your unit Temple & Family History Consultants to help you set them up. Be sure to have your account user names and passwords with you when you come. The more familiar you are with the Familysearch.org and Ancestry.com accounts, the better you will understand the information given in the classes. If you do not have a Family Search account you will be able to register for a Free Family Search account on Familysearch.org.




What do I need to bring with me?


Bring your family and friends. Be sure to register each person so the event committee knows how many people will be attending each class or program. Bring a notebook to take notes. Bring your laptop or electronic devices. Bring a lunch or snacks. Please bring food that does not need to be heated or refrigerated. If items need to be kept cold, please bring an ice chest.




May I bring children with me?


Yes. However, know that there will not be a children's program for children 18 months to 11 years of age. Children under the age of 11 years who are well behaved may accompany their parents to classes, but must be registered separately for the same class with their parents so that the event organizers know how many people are attending each class per session Children 11 years and up may register for individual classes. .




Where will the conference be?


It will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Denham Springs church building, located at 25367 Riverton Drive, Denham Springs, Louisiana, 70726. See the Location tab above for a map and directions.




Do I need to print tickets from the registration site to attend my classes?


No. Registration is to help the conference committee know how many people will attend each class per session for planning purposes. If you registered by the paper forms in your church unit, the conference committee will register you for your classes.




How do I contact the event organizer?

Will lunch be provided?


No. Bring a lunch or snacks to eat in the registration area. You will have a 30 minute break between 12:00 - 12:30. Please do not eat in any other part of the building. We will have a few tables with chairs set up for you to eat at.
